What's wrong? I'd say a capital V for vacation when it's not a proper noun. As for the question, yes, I'd say all the regular puzzle setters are definitely on vacation.
Vacation? That would be a capital V when it is a proper noun surely? ;-)
I had to look it up in the dictionary, and it would appear that a "vacation" is something akin to a "holiday". I looked that up too and it seemed to be some gibberish about not having to turn up to work. I took it to my boss, (for he knows everything!) and he told me that the word didn't exist, and my dictionary had a mis-print or two.... I dropped some questions off yesterday. Lack of input from Zaux does worry me a bit. For those of us in the UK - we get 28 days holiday per annum, no Bank Holidays or other statutory holidays, compared to Germans who get 39 and Icelandics on 42 days per annum, it's a fair bet that if ToM isn't based in the UK, he's on holiday!
Sorry Wiz, kinda read your capitalization statement in the wrong way... D'oh!
So to tide you over:-
A ship is docked in Puzzlaria harbour. Over the side hangs a rope ladder with rungs a foot apart. The tide rises at a rate of 9 inches per hour. At the end of six hours, how much of the rope ladder will still remain above water, assuming that 9 feet were above the water when the tide began to rise?
But I do know that ToM must be switched over to a different kind of system.... Not FTP, very soon, the date has been delayed a couple of times... Now I think it is May first.
I was afraid ToM missed the date. I think anyone posting can update to HTML file transfer, but I am not sure that will work if Raj has not updated the main system. So I am awaiting some word or announcement on ToM.
Anyway, I was surprised my POST seems to be working. Anyone else know what needs to be done in making this conversion. Maybe Raj has done it, but then I keep getting warnings from Goggle that the conversion needs to be made soon.
Well, Seaman James gets the points today, but has worryingly confirmed that Global Warming is going to be a bit of a headache as we move forwards to the future with the waters rising forever!
We will all drown. Although I had read in some learned paper that if the ice caps melt it would only lead to a 2 foot increase in sea levels.....
For Ragknot - I've not had any problems with dates and times of posts etc...
Does the word "rough" have a special meaning in Texas not shared with the rest of the world? Out our way it has the usual meanings of "coarse", "uncouth", "approximate", etc. It could also refer to "rough trade", but I'm sure we don't want to go there. Follow-up question to the puzzle: Spot the grammatical errors!

I'm here ... just taking a break ...
Is the rope ladder hanging over the side of the ship or the harbour??

Akki.... what is it that you don't care about?
Question: Do you like, I like it rough?
Response: Who do you mean?

there is capital M in the word Tom
ToM is not a person's name. It's short for Trick of Mind.
Rough? If you figure it out, you will know who.
Lady Gaga?
Right Wiz, Gaga.
I attempted to migrate Ragknot.blogspot.com today.
The migration procedure is not ready yet, but May 1st is the deadline.

The answer is yes. Raj who is from San Diego has been traveling in Europe. So that leaves ToM on vacation.
I don't see that anyone got this.
