The second hand (of a clock)
hey, that was to easy, huh?
But I thought it was so cute, I had to post it. How can the second hand be the third hand? I suppose it's because the "second hand" is it's name not it's order.
It reminds me of basketball when a team has a twenty second time out, I ask myself "How long has it been since their twenty first time out?"

Whats a ToM
Skat, a German card game with three players:
first hand, the one giving out the cards = Vorhand;
second hand, or the one in the middle, starts the betting of the game to play = Mittelhand;
third hand, the last one, continues betting if Mittelhand exhausts his/her game = Hinterhand.
