Why'd you do that ...?
A man pulls a gun ... aims it at a law-abiding citizen ... he pulls the trigger. CLICK! Apparently, the gun was empty. At least 10 people saw the whole incident and were outraged ... at the man to whom the pistol was aimed.

The man was a criminal who had been arrested by a police officer. He stole the officer's gun, aimed it at him and pulled the trigger.
The onlookers were outraged that the officer was carrying an unloaded gun (lucky for him though, maybe he had a premonition that morning!).

you are right ... it happened on a movie set. Because of the dangerous aspect of pointing a gun, it was the responsibility of the person, to whom the gun was pointed. to make sure it was loaded with BLANK bullets. Because the person had not checked the pistol, the entire scene had to be filmed again ... that's why everyone was disgruntled with the person.
