Word Equations
You are probably familiar with word equations that work something like this:
29 = D in F in a L Y
This works out to 29 = Days in February in a Leap Year. Can you solve the 10 equations given below in a similar manner?
1.) 40= T with A B
2.) 20 = M T in H C
3.) 3 = W M in H B
4.) 17 = N of S in a H
5.) 5 = V in E A
6.) 33 = V in H S
7.) 7 = Y I
8.) 12 = E on a C
9.) 7 = D with S W
10.) 17 = S in a G (H P)

Good job DualAspect and Zaux !
2 and 10 still remain.
Hi Jin ...
I believe 10. has something to do with 17 sailors in a (hard party) .. but, I could never make sense of it.
Has 10.) got something to do with Harry Potter?
I wouldn't know as I'm not a fan, but I have a suspicion that it's what the HP is for.
Hi Zaux,
Nope there are no sailors or partying involved...
Hi DualAspect,
You are absolutely right. HP does indeed stand for Harry Potter. I'm a big fan so (mistakenly)assumed everyone on Earth knows Harry Potter :)
Well that's me out of the running for solving number 10 then, hopefully someone else is a Potter fan, Wiz maybe??
Still can't crack No 2.
Nope, I'm not a Potter fan, either.
That's some other wizard.
