x = no. hours before midnight
x+2 = 2 hours later
x+1 = 1 hour later
x+2 = 1/2 (x+1)
2x+4 = x+1
x= -3
Current time is 3 hours 'til midnight or 9PM
Answer - 9PM

yea... the -3hours bothered me ... what's wrong with the equation?
I see what was wrong with my equation.
I x is no. hours before midnight, then
2 hours later is x-2 and 1 hour later is x-1
So it is 3 hours before midnight
