The Black Dog
A black dog stands in the middle of an intersecton in a town painted black. None of the street lights are working due to a power failure caused by a storm. A car with two broken headlights drives towards the dog but turns in time to avoid hitting him. How could the driver have seen the dog in time?

ohhh, I was going to say "It wasn't dark!" I see someone else
had a similar thought.
It was daytime and the dog was panting and the driver could see the dogs white tongue. (which means the dog wasn't a chow)
The dog could have also barked

the eyes of the dog would have shined in the dark which let the driver know that there is a dog in front of the car...
There was a full moon. And it wasn't a dog, it was a werewolf.
The dog was physic and sent a message to the driver. The driver then felt the odd sensation that were he/she was headed was no longer important, made a u turn, and continued home.
Second Anon the title and the first sentence says that it was a black dog.
Lightning because it was a storm
The dog was Dog the Bounty Hunter in desguise. He used the darkness to his advantage and shot the driver because he was about to run him over. The driver fell limp and turned the wheel with his cold dead hands.

it is not a hight it was a day so he can see the dog without any litht becouse the sun litght is exist
well it doesnt say it was dark.. even if it were dark the driver couldnt see where he was going. wait why is the city painted black in the first place?

the driver had to make a right turn anyway therefore missed the dog by luck
its day... DUH!
The dog heard the car coming and got so scared that it crapped on the road. the guy had a convetable car and smelled it from far away! It was so bad that his desire to go to where he was going left him. Imediatly he turned around and went the other way. and so the dog saved it self
It was definitly day time and when has anyone seen a town painted black?
