The One Question
I was walking on a road, on my way to Asgard, my hometown when I came across two robots, standing before the split of the road into two.
One of the roads lead to Asgard,
one of the roads lead to Fountain of Good Fortune, but I don't know which is which.
One of the robots always tell the truth,
one of the robots always tell the lie, but I don't know which is which.
One of the robots is coloured red,
one of the robots is coloured blue.
Confused where to go, I asked the robots, "Which road should I take?"
The red robot points to the road that's on the right,
the blue robot points to the road that's on the left.
Still confused, I asked the robots, "Which road leads to Asgard?"
The red robot points to the road that's on the left,
the blue robot points to the road that's on the right.
What one other question can I ask to determine which robot is telling the truth, and therefore knowing which road to take?

The blue robot is a jerk!
Ask them which robot is red the one that tells the truth will point out the red robot and you'll know which road to take
Ask them "what would the other robot tell me if I asked which way the fountain is?"
The one who tells the truth would know that the other would lie to you, and would therefore point to Asgard.
The one who lies would know that the other robot would point you in the correct direction, and would therefore lie to you and also point you to Asgard.
So both robots will point the same direction. God help you if you go that way. It is the opposite direction to the fountain.
THERES NO ROBOTS IN LORD OF THE RINGS!

Much easier way:
Just ask them what colour they are. If the Red one says he's red, then he's telling the truth etc

This question seems to have two parts:
1)Which robot is telling the truth?
2)Which road to take?
If Buddy above is correct you now know which road to take. But since both robots are yeilding the same information and pointing in the same direction, can you know which one is telling the truth???
This is easy, I'd ask them if 2+2=4. The one that says yes is the one telling the truth.
Does it matter. Both roads look good to me. Its not like the mean robot is leading to to some creepy evil place.
Just ask any question that you already know the answer to. Then you know who the liar is and can infer the correct direction from their previous responses.
Ask both robots which way is the sky, the one with the true answer is the truth teller
Pull out your blaster and cream the Red Robot; it's either a Communist or a Republican.
Point your blaster at the Blue Robot and ask whether he wants to die. If it answers yes, blast the sucker. If it answers no, have it lead you to the left road. If you find yourself at some silly fountain, blast the sucker and retrace you steps. If you are at Asgard, name it R2D2. Fly to the Deguba system and try to catch up with the movie.

Clearly the robots can only point and aren't very advanced. They cannot talk. Asking them what color they are won't get you anywhere because they can't speak. Asking what the other robot would say is correct.

blue usually brings better luck than red,and if not why would color matter,why don't they have names instead?
