Golden Apple

In a marble hall white as milk
Lined with skin as soft as silk
Within a fountain crystal-clear
A golden apple doth appear.
No doors there are to this stronghold,
Yet thieves break in to steal its gold.

Break down a wall, floor or ceiling?
Demolish the fountain from underneath?
You can do a lot with a stick of dynamite!

Ugh...
It's that old riddle that everyone already knows.
IT'S AN EGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The skin of marble silk is the shell
The "marble white" is the egg white.
The "gold" is the egg yolk.
There are no doors on an egg.
"Thieves" are the people that eat the egg.

Ah.. this is the little known temple Jem'Hatak. Built in 201BC by the Supreme Commander Del Hak- Zur. A golden apple was susspended in the centre of a fountain believed to be one of the "fonts of knowledge" protected by a force field using technology not of this earth. The apple was consistanly the target of attemted theft. Lost from history as the result of a giant sand storm on 16AD the Temple remains a mystery.
