16,
rounded from 15.4
If thats right...
That was uber easy
0 because no matter how many empty = a full bottle they're still empty :O
I believe the answer is 15; it makes no sense to round UP, since the question asks how many full bottles you'd get. ".4 full bottles" isn't a full bottle, i think.
the answer is still 1. if 5 empty's bottle is equall to 1 then it is also safe to say 77 empty bottles is equall to 1 full bottle.
ANSWER = 1 EMPTY BOTTLE
Here is the simple logic
--------------------------
77 empty bottle = 15 full bottles & 2 Empty Bottles
=> Which after drinking = 17 empty bottles
=> 3 full bottle and 2 empty bottle
After drinking becomes
=> Five empty bottles
=> Which becomes one full bottle
=> After drinking => 1 empty bottle
ANSWER = 1 EMPTY BOTTLE
5 empty botlles = 1 full bottle
77 empty bottles = 0 full bottles as we have no botlles- whatever they are.
how can empty bottles make a full bottle when their empty to start with.....??
5 empty bottles = 1 full bottle
77 empty bottles = 15 full bottles and 2 empty bottles
i don't understand how you can fill bottles with something that isn't even there though
Does anyone even know the correct answer for this?
This is a bad riddle
the answer is 19
you make 15 full bottles from 77 with two empty ones left over
once the full ones are empty they will make 3 more full bottles
once these 3 full ones are empty, combine em with the two left over from the beginning, to make 1 more full bottle
15+3+1=19
zero, it is first spelt botlles then bottles, easy
0 of course
The quiz didn't state the full bottles have to be filled up from the empty ones' content. It's just comparing numbers, so mi guess is
77 empty bottles will equal (not make) 15.4 full bottles.
Just one as long as you can get Chuck Norris to drink from it.
It's not a bad riddle . . . just a little dated. If the riddle had stated that a full bottle of pop costs 25 cents, and you could return an empty pop bottle to get a 5 cent deposit, and then asked how many bottles of pop would you end up drinking, then it would be easier to understand. The gimmick, I believe was the combining of the second, third and fourth order empties to get a total acquisition of contents (pop)
77/5=15.4 so rounded down because 4 is the # we round and its less than half we rounddown and not up. so
the answer is....15. not 16...Thank you very much,
77/5=15 with 2 remainder
drink the 15 and you have 17 empty bottels
17/5=3 with 2 remainder
you have 5 more empty bottels after drinking those
5/5=1
thus 15+3+1=19
you are able to get 19 full bottels with 77 empty bottels
sammy and shawn got it right
i posted the question like that because, well this is trick-of-mind... a riddle here always has more than one layer so i thought you guys should be able to figure that out... heheheh

15.2 -or- zero-or- 1. The question appears to be so easy, it confused me!
