Seven Days! This is because you can take out the ways part because it is unneccesary, then you take that each cat catches one rat each, it takes them each seven days but since they do it at the same time they take a total of seven days, no matter what the number is, as long as each cat catches one rat it will be seven days.
1 day if it takes 7 cats to catch 7 rats in 7 days with 7 different ways...that means that 1 cat in 7 days will catch 1 rat 1 way and that the other cats will cats will catch the rats in a different way. So for 10 different cats who will all catch a rat a different way it will only take 1 day.
OK one cat can do the job of 7 rats in 49 days and 10rats in 70days. So take your 70 days and divide it by number of cats 10 and you get ten days. Answer 10 days

:)
I think Alexander's logic is more compromising.
ten days
7 days was my first thought.. my logic matches that of alexander
You cannot tell how long it will take the cats from the information given - it could be luck that they find loads of rats quickly or even none at all!
ten days
if it takes 7 cats 7 days, then wouln't it take 10 cats 10 days?
i agree with 10 days as anon above me
I say ten days- each rat was caught a different way on a different day therefore needing ten days to catch ten rats ten different ways
