No donut for you
A women has one donut to divide between 5 children. she also have two "use and throw" knife and a mathematician friend like you who can help her divide it.
Can you make sure every child gets a piece ?

All you have to do is split into sixths with your hands. THen just wipe ur ands off on ur shirt!
Please use coherant english
The question also doesn't require the pieces to be even, just that each child gets a piece.
well first u can assume that they want the pieces to be even. so my soulution is... to kill one of the kids with one nife then cut the donu into an even four with the other. everyone gets the same amount and noe the mohter has one less mouth to feed
:p
first the mother should just rip the donut in half, then get the first knife and cut both halves at the same time (VETICALLY) then get the second knife and cut it again (horizontally). Having enough pieces for her children as well as herself
first she should rip the donut in half then hold the two halves together and cut it with the first knife(vertically), then use the second knife to cut it again (horizontally). Therefore, she'll have enough pieces for her children and herself.
Cut the donut in half. Put one half on top of the other, then fold in half lengthwise. Cut in half crosswise. You end up with 6 pieces
Cut the donut in 4 give 3 of the childern pieces and give the last two the Knives and let them fight for the last piece
This is not an easy question to answer with just words. The two lines have one intersection, and that point should be on the donut, not in the hole, and you should be able to get five pieces out if you cut that way.
The answer is NO
Because it says can YOU MAKE SURE AND YOU ARE OT THERE THE MATH PERSON IS DOING IT PLUS THE MATH PERSON MIGHT NOT KNOW WHAT HE OR SHE IS DOING AND YOU CANT STOP IT IF HE/SHE MAKES A MISTAKE BUT GOOD IDEAS
lol, this is a totally out there answer. the statement said "two use and throw knifes." it didnt say where they had to be thrown. so just cut chunk the knife at something then cut again. lmao
I drew it out on paper and got it, but it's hard to explain in just words. You make the first cut a circle around the hole of the doughnut. Now you only have one cut left that you can make. Make another circle with a wavy line that intercects the first circle on two points and the tip of it rests on the tip on the first circle. I'm sure there are better ways to explain it but that's the best way I can. They never said the cuts had to be straight lines virtical and horizontal. And they never said that you had to cut completely through the doughnut, so think outside the box ppl and see if you can come up with a better explination than me! Please cuz mine sux, but it's the only logical way I can think of!
Cut the donut in half first then cut another line that intersects the circle in the middle twice and the line that splits it in half and then you should have 5 pieces
Cut a pentagram into the donut using one knife, allowing each child one point and one 60-degree segment.
If any child complains that you sullied the donut by using a "use & throw" knife for multiple cuts (not what it was intended for), take and eat has donut portion and keep him at distance with your other knife.
Lay the donut flat. Take first knife and make an ess-shaped cut in the donut starting in the middle at the top, curve back before passing the hole, then curve back after passing the hole exiting on the lower left side.
Take second knife and make the exact same cut in reverse, again starting in at the middle top, exiting on the lower right.
You will end up with an eliptical shaped piece at the top, two jagged "E" shaped pieces-one on each side, and a triangular piece at the bottom. The fifth piece is in the middle and has a hole in it.
wat does imao mean i mean really
Make a 2-and-a-half-ring spiral cut starting from the edge and ending at the hole with one knife. then make another cut with the other knife, starting at the same place you started the spiral cut, straight across the doughnut. Violá! you have five perfectly equal pieces of doughnut.
Ps. for the last Anonymous. it is not imao, but LMAO= Laughing My Ass Off!

The question never asked for equal pieces.

if she cuts one of the kids in half then cut the donut into sixths but if the kid dies then cut the donut into fourths!
Im right your wrong deal with it!
um y do u ppl answer the question when the answer is below the question???
if you people would just look u would see that the answer isnt how to divide it, its can you help to divide it. it says she has a mathematician friend like 'you' who can divide it, so yes we can help we can hand it to the mathematician, this is indeed case solved. keep guessing if u like.
